Work-Life Experience
Physical Therapist. Kihei Physical Therapy.
2016 - Present
I currently work at an out-patient orthopedic clinic focusing on treating many different types of injuries and conditions, as well as pre and post-surgical rehabilitation. This is a great location with great staff all around. This clinic is proof that if you are not satisfied with your current situation that there is something better out there for you. Don't settle. This goes for life as well.
St. Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services.
2015 - 2016
Hospital - Based outpatient orthopedic clinic with the same responsibilities as above, however this clinic had a large refugee population which made it much more enjoyable as I was able to learn more about their cultures while helping them physically, as well as hopefully helping to make them feel more comfortable in a new home. There is also a great staff at this location and this reinforced the importance of surrounding yourself with good people both at work and in life as it makes a huge difference as far as enjoyment and growth.
Caldwell Physical Therapy.
2013 - 2015
Outpatient orthopedic clinic in a area with a large Spanish-speaking population which was educational and enjoyable. This was a very busy clinic which helped me find my physical and mental limits and also taught me that in many cases we pay a costly price for financial gain in our time and energy (both mentally and physically). I learned that it is always ideal to have a good balance between time and energy spent at work and time spent experiencing life outside of work so there is enough energy remaining for the latter.
Spine Institute of Idaho
2008-2013
This was my first job following my Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. It taught me that there are many ways to run a business, and most times there must be an upfront investment in both business and life before you see the returns of your labor. Holding back and expecting something to happen usually does not work. I also learned the value of setting yourself up for success as well, as you are able to minimize the struggle required to achieve your goals.
